Privacy Policy

Effective 29 October 2026

Duolapse is published under the name Septoleaf by Yicheng Sun, a private individual in Italy, who is the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Contact: hello@duolapse.com.

The app

Duolapse collects no data. It has no account, no analytics and no network access, so your recordings, exports and settings never leave your Mac. Screen Recording and Camera access are used only while you record, and you can turn either off in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

If you share analytics with app developers in macOS, Apple may send me anonymous crash reports and usage figures for Duolapse. You can turn this off in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

The website

The website sets no cookies and shows no ads. Cloudflare hosts it and processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and block abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.

The contact form

The form sends me your name, email address, topic and message, and your macOS version if you enter it. I use this only to reply to you and to fix the problems you report, based on my legitimate interest in answering messages about Duolapse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on the steps you ask me to take (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Cloudflare delivers the message to my iCloud Mail inbox, nothing is stored on the website, and I delete messages within 12 months of our last exchange. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person.

Who processes your data

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website, delivers form messages, runs Turnstile and counts page views. Apple Inc. hosts my email. Both may process data in the United States, under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to restrict or object to its use, by writing to hello@duolapse.com. I answer within a month. You can also complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali or to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

Changes to this policy are posted on this page with a new effective date.
